Incidents and accidents, however minor, represent opportunities for learning and provide an organisation with a focus for identifying remedial and preventive actions.
Encouraging busy line management and supervisory personnel to perform even basic investigations has not always been an easy task but now with use of the OSHENS Local Investigation they are guided through simple investigation forms context-specific to the type of incident being investigated.
Where an incident takes places that was serious or had the potential to be serious, investigation may of necessity involve more widespread involvement of health and safety professionals and senior management personnel.
To support this level of investigation/enquiry, OSHENS provides its Full Investigation tool. This tool follows the recommended "good practice" for structured incident and accident investigations as laid down by the UK's Health & Safety Executive.
On completion of an Investigation, OSHENS compiles the information recorded into a standardised PDF Investigation Report.
