OSHENS User Conference

Last week Optima Diagnostics held its inaugural User Conference at The Royal Society in London. The event attracted more than 100 OSHENS users from the UK and USA. The theme for this year’s event was “OSHENS as a tool for enhancing workforce engagement with safety, health and environmental issues.”

Paul Blundell, Optima’s CEO, kicked things off with a history of the company and the evolution of OSHENS to its present day version. This was followed by key note speaker, Paul Stirk, Head of Safety at University College London, who provided an illuminating insight into UCL’s approach to the successful implementation of OSHENS.

We then heard from safety professionals at BAE Systems (MAI), Certas Energy, Leonardo Helicopters and Skanska UK. These organisations focused on different OSHENS modules and discussed their particular usage of them and the implementation challenges they had faced.

In the afternoon the Optima team demonstrated the power of Pyramid Analytics for creating and publishing high quality graphical reports. This was followed by two sessions that looked into some of Optima’s short and long term functional development plans for the software.

We would like to thank all who attended the event and extend our special thanks to all speakers.
